Liam and Noel Gallagher have fuelled speculation that an Oasis reunion could finally happenwhile the brothers advanced that an announcement of the band could be made this Tuesday.
A short clip with the same font and style as the The band’s famous logo appeared on the brothers’ social media accounts on Sunday, as well as on Oasis’ official website.
It displays the date “27.08.24” before flashing and then reading “8am.” That’s August 28, 2009.
Just now Fifteen years later, Noel left the band just minutes into a concert in France, claiming that he could no longer work with his brother Liam, who would later announce the formation of Beady Eye.
PThat’s why they chose that date 15 years ago to announce the return of Oasis.
A Sunday Times report, citing industry sources,He said the brothers were planning to perform a series of concerts next year, including shows at London’s Wembley Stadium and Manchester’s Heaton Park.
There is also speculation that a concert could be in the works.or as a headliner at Glastonbury next year.
Liam Gallagher spent much of Sunday responding to the rumours on X, formerly known as Twitter:
“I never liked that word EX,” she said, before sharing news articles about the reunion rumors.
In her headline performance at the Reading Festival last Sunday night, she dedicated the song de Oasis, ” Half The World Away “to his brother, saying:
“I want to dedicate this song to Noel Gallagher.”
Later he dedicated Cigarettes & Alcohol to people he claims hate the band.
The excitement has sent fans into a frenzy, with many people sharing their excitement and criticism online.
A fan online said that Heaton Park is a “terrible venue for concerts”, and Liam replied: “See you up ahead…”
When another asked when the meeting dates would be announced, he replied: “Next Friday…”
