nnn The Galician League of Traiñeiras released its calendar for the current season yesterday and, despite not being 100% closed, incorporates as the main novelty of recent weeks the dispute of a regatta in the Belesar reservoir, within the municipality of Portomarín. The appointment, scheduled for Sunday, August 8, corresponds to the Women’s League.
The course will begin next Saturday, June 26 with the celebration of the Bandeira Muros de San Pedro and it will be in July and August when the largest number of tests will be disputed with more than 30 regattas planned among the three categories of regional rowing: League A, Liga B and Liga Feminina.
The Ría de Vigo will have less prominence than last year due to the absence of the male boat from Tirán Pereira, which was promoted to the ACT League. However, the Bandeira Concello de Vigo will open the year in the second category of regional rowing (Saturday, July 3). There will also be events in Cangas (July 4), Chapela (July 17), Cesantes (August 7) and Moaña (July 25 and August 21).
