A few years ago, curved displays were considered a great innovation, but now flat solutions have started to come back into fashion, with more and more manufacturers preferring them. The pioneer of curved panels, Samsung, is also moving in this direction, which can be seen in action on the latest top model.
The return to the flat display has already begun with the Galaxy S21 and S22 phones, but so far the Ultra editions have held their own, with curved screens at the edges. However, according to a well-known leaker, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will have a significantly flatter panel than its predecessor, with almost nothing left of the curve.
The flat display has many advantages, it’s easier to put a film over it, it’s less fragile and the entire panel is uniform, light and colors are not interrupted by the curved edges.
Other than that, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be almost exactly like the S22 Ultra, the camera design and size won’t change significantly. The presentation should be held by Samsung on February 1, so we just have to wait about a month for the official details.
