What is supposed being one of the first European champions of the Galaxy S23 Ultra has been singled out in benchmark results on the web. The phone runs Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 which has been introduced late last nightinstead of Samsung’s Exynos.
Everything has pointed to Samsung equipping the Galaxy S23 series with Snapdragon in all regions and this is the latest proof. Although Samsung has not commented on the matter, other than announcing a closer collaboration with Qualcomm this summer, Qualcomm has more or less confirmed that the Galaxy S23 series will be powered by Snapdragon globally.
The Galaxy S series therefore appears to be globally equivalent for the first time since the very first Galaxy S in 2010, which was powered by Hummingbird (Exynos 3). All subsequent models of the Galaxy S series have offered different chipsets depending on the market, resulting in different performance differences.
