Samsung is already working on the successor to the Galaxy A55 released last March. This is evidenced by the appearance of the Galaxy A56 certification on the respective platforms.

The new smartphone, the Galaxy A56, has been spotted in the IMEI database under the model number SM-A566B/DS and the name Galaxy A56 5G. This means that Samsung is already testing the new model, which is expected to be announced in March 2025.

The Galaxy A56 is expected to feature the new Exynos 1580 chipset, which features Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores along with the Xclipse 540 GPU. This chipset also features an upgraded Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to compete with the flagship Exynos 2100 chip.
On Geekbench, the Exynos 1580 chipset scored 1046 and 3678 in single-core and multi-core tests respectively, which is comparable to the Snapdragon 888 processor. The device on which the test was conducted was running Android 15. The chipset’s 1+3+4 architecture promises improved performance over the previous Exynos 1480, which had a 4+4 core configuration.
The Galaxy A55, the predecessor of the A56, features a 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, 50MP + 12MP + 5MP camera, and 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging.
