The Gabon wildlife park is ready to welcome the public

Libreville, Monday August 5, 2024 (Infos Gabon) – In this place visitors can discover and appreciate several big cats and endangered species such as the Lion, the Tiger, the Puma, the Cheetah, the Panther, crocodile and other animals.

The transitional authorities took over the private animal park from President Ali Bongo Ondimba and transformed it into a public place open to the public where they can discover a variety of wild animals. Already, a few months ago, the president of the movement had decided to declassify the large Wonga Wongué park as an area reserved only for the private activities of the Head of State.

Also, General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema decided that this park would be transferred to the public domain, and then it was renamed “Gabon Animal Park”. To do this, he gave a new directive, asking the Minister of Tourism, Pascal Ogowet Siffon to take the necessary steps to open this magnificent gem to the public.

In his position as Director of Administration and Finance (DAF) of the Gabon Zoo, Jean-Martin Evrard Doumbeneny Ondo assured them that the official opening date of the park will be announced to the public in the coming days. The former president’s private animal park is located in an Ohio residence next to a complete coal mining station.

This structure was built in 2010 by Ali Bongo Ondimba the day after he came to power, and it was in this place that he received his distinguished guests.
