On Wednesday, November 13, at 6:30 p.m., in the council room, the public information meeting took place on the twinning between Mus and the small Tyrolean village Schlaiten. The twinning committee, made up of villagers and elected officials, presented its ideas to the thirty people present. It is a question of experiencing a first exchange with the Tyroleans, from May 26 to 31, 2025, by inviting them to Mus, and by offering them a rich cultural and tourist program: the visit of a manade and a cellar, visits of Aigues-Mortes, Uzès, Pont du Gard, Montpellier and Nîmes and some festivals within the village… In 2026, it will be the turn of the Mussoises to go and meet the customs and habitat of the Austrians. The CM2 classes of the two municipalities will soon begin a first digital exchange. “For twinning to be possible, it is essential that we welcome Tyrolean men and women,” hopes Ghislain Marcant, municipal councilor for culture. A flyer was attached to the municipal bulletin. It must be returned to the town hall secretariat. A next meeting will be organized with all the people who have left their contact details.
