The Future of YouTube: Potential Impact of Eliminating Sponsorships and Paid Ad-Free Content

It sounds nice, but if it goes like this, you will probably end up with a restriction of freedom for content creators.
YouTube states that for a monthly fee they will no longer show advertisements on their videos. when you grow, this is met. If a creator decides to enter into a deal with a sponsor, they are free to do so. Not every channel receives enough income from YouTube to make a living and many need those sponsorship deals.
As @Caelorum indicates, there are also plenty of people who employ people. Would MrBeast survive with just the money that YouTube pays out?
If we all want every form of advertisement to disappear when we pay, then we must also be prepared to pay a considerably larger amount. But if that happens, we will stop paying en masse.

What do you think the consequences of a ban on sponsorships will be? Then you watch a tech video and you see makeup advertising or a campaign video that it is dangerous to insert the tampon too deeply. that is completely irrelevant to your interests. Then you don’t want to see that anymore and you would like to pay. instead of the 10 euros it currently costs, you suddenly have to pay 45 euros. I think this amount is still on the low side if all creators have to be compensated for their lost sponsorship money. Are you going to pay those 45 euros or is this the end of your YouTube use?
In this scenario many will follow and with it comes the demise of something you’ve always used but can’t live with a little 2 second effort to skip something.
If you think that everything should be possible in the way you envision, then you could make it happen. But how do you earn your income if you have to offer everything for free? How are you going to make ends meet as a content creator if you are not allowed to accept sponsors and YouTube only pays 2000 euros per month? How much money will you invest in new videos?

someone who reviewed a galaxy s24 had to buy it first. some channels immediately buy all variants of that model. and a month later there will be new phones that they have to buy because those brands are not going to send their phones to 500 youtubers who want to have their say about it. We are Tweakers and the new video cards are coming out and we want to have information and benchmarks quickly. those channels that we watch then buy not 1 but several of those cards because we want to know whether we would rather have an Asus, Gigabyte or Msi. Without sponsorships, YouTube will have to compensate a lot and that bill will ultimately fall to us.
