On pensions, the future of young people is being put at risk. This is the alarm raised by the trade unionist Massimiliano Nobis to relaunch the Complementary Pension.
Massimiliano Nobis, National Secretary of the Fim-Cisl, officially raises the alarm on pensions. The trade unionist in fact highlighted, commenting on a report of Social Security Itineraries, that the percentage of subscriptions to the Negotiated Pension Funds is now very low.
A situation on which action must be taken as soon as possible with legislation that can help the youngest “Allowing them to enhance the supplementary pension position even during non-continuous employment experiences”.
Nobis stresses that the fact that in the future the average of pensions is being overlooked it will be equal to 55 per cent of the final salary. Without considering the progressive increase in the retirement age, a phenomenon that seems less and less avoidable
Pensions, what the younger generations risk
It is therefore important that the younger generations reflect on the possibilities offered by supplementary pensions. The risk otherwise is that they will find themselves working for a lifetime until they find that their pension is too low for them to survive.
By Us infatti “Starting to talk about supplementary pension schemes for workers, making young people reflect on the opportunities and advantages they are losing if they do not join and making them understand the great role of social cohesion that this tool can play is fundamental for the future social security of millions of citizens”. For this reason, the unions expect a government position on the issue and measures in favor of supplementary pension in the next Budget Law.
