During November 26 and 27, the First International Congress of Ciruela Industria was held in San Rafael, Mendoza. Under the motto “the future is to innovate”, in the meeting the different actors of the chain shared experiences, exchanged knowledge, technologies and experiences.
More than 150 people attended each day, with the participation of producers, industrialists, exporters, technicians and suppliers of the sector being outstanding.
On Friday 26 the activity was carried out virtually, with panels of producers, technicians and industrialists; where the resilient and proactive spirit of all sectors was shown, which could in value the collective effort and teamwork achieved through the cluster.
Later, on Saturday 27, the field day was held at Finca San Rafael Arcngel, where the producers were able to visit the crops and talk with the technicians about practical issues of irrigation management, fertilization and frost control, among others.
During the event, the Institutions and processors that accompany the sector had the opportunity to show progress in tests, supplies, machinery and new technologies. Likewise, spaces for exchange were created to address joint solutions and highly relevant agreements were signed to contribute to the continuity of the industrial plum cluster.
Distinctions were also given to companies and producers that stand out for incorporating technological innovations, betting strongly on generating positive changes in the sector.
Finally, the attendees shared a comradely lunch. The plum industry chain has been going strong in the south and east of Mendoza, transforming primary production with technology to make the use of resources more efficient and reduce damage due to climatic factors, while the industry innovates in the generation of new products and functional foods. in great demand worldwide.
