Only seven infrastructures have been started out of the twelve planned on the site. The Cité du savoir is located on a 12 ha site.
The Maison de la Science, the Isep de Diamniadio, the headquarters of the Virtual University of Senegal (Uvs), a media library, an administrative space, among others, are its components.
Students from this city will be trained in six fields of science and technology (robotics, artificial intelligence, big data, molecular genetics, simulation and scientific computing as well as cybersecurity).
