The Future of Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus: Potential Departure and Successor Chosen

Juventus is not playing in European cups this season, so it can fully focus on regaining the title of Italian champion. This is also the last chance for Massimiliano Allegri to win the trophy with the “Old Lady”. There are reports of his possible departure again, but this time the decision to break up is to be made by him. Juventus should be ready for such an eventuality, a successor has already been chosen.

During last season, when Juventus had a series of unsuccessful matches and risked missing European trophies in the spring, there were reports that patience with Massimiliano Allegri was running out. However, the club decided to give him full support and stay with him regardless of the final result. Now Juventus, with Allegri at the helm, is fighting for the Scudetto, but it looks like this is the Italian’s last season in Turin.

There is a change of coach at Juventus

Massimiliano Allegri has a valid contract with Juventus until the end of June 2025, but it is possible that he will shorten the duration of the contract by one year. According to Italian media, the coach of the “Old Lady” is seriously thinking about leaving at the end of this season. He feels that Juventus is a different club than a few years ago and he doesn’t really like the way it operates today.

– He’ll get the money and leave. It’s normal. Allegri belongs to another Juventus that is no longer here. If he finishes the season in the top four or even wins something better, I think he will have something to regret. We’ll see in June. Allegri probably has difficulty finding his place in another Juventus – says journalist Ivan Zazzaroni from “Corriere dello Sport”.

According to “CdS”, Allegri’s potential decision is independent of reports about Antonio Conte, who would like to take over Juventus again. The desire to return to Turin was to be decisive in rejecting the final offer from Napoli, with whom Conte was in advanced talks. The Italian did not replace Rudi Garcia, although he was long indicated as the number one candidate to take over the reins of the Italian champion’s team.

– There is always the possibility of meeting again. It is important that there is a common understanding of ideas and thoughts – he said at a meeting with students at the University of Salento in Lecce, regarding a possible return to Juventus.

Recently, Conte has been able to focus on his family life. The media in Italy are convinced that he will soon return to the coaching bench. He has been unemployed for eight months. His last club was Tottenham.

In the past, Allegri took over Juventus after Conte, who first dominated Serie A with the “Old Lady” for years, and then left for the Italian national team. In the years 2014-2019, Allegri led the Turin team to two Champions League finals and five Italian champion titles in a row.

Two Polish representatives play for Juventus – Wojciech Szczęsny and Arkadiusz Milik.
