If you remember, Apple unveiled the iPhone Mini phones with the launch of the iPhone 12 Mini. This launch was a dream come true for iPhone users who want a small and compact phone but don’t want to sacrifice in terms of performance and core specifications.
Apple has already released a successor after the initial introduction, which is the iPhone 13 Mini. This was a result of positive feedback from predecessor users. But you may have noticed that there is no iPhone Mini in the iPhone 14 lineup. While Apple has not said anything officially about this, it was quite clear why the Cupertino giant decided to skip the phone in the current series.
That’s because iPhone 13 Mini sales have been weak across the board. A report from Counterpoint Research focused on the sales performance of the entire iPhone 13 series after Apple released the lineup. According to it, the Mini got a meager 5%, while the regular iPhone 13 got 51%, the 13 Pro Max got 23%, and the 13 Pro got 21%.
The sales performance did not improve much after that, which is why Apple decided to skip the iPhone Mini in the iPhone 14 lineup. Now, it looks like there will not be any Mini model in the upcoming iPhone 15 series.

Apple may discontinue the iPhone Mini after today’s scheduled event
As he pointed out Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, an industry expert, iPhone 13 Mini stock is about to run out. Apple’s US online store now offers a shipping estimate of 2-3 weeks for some models and up to 6-8 weeks for a few others. This high shipping estimate indicates a supply shortage.
The short supply of the iPhone Mini model ultimately suggests that Apple may stop production of the Mini phones entirely after the “Wanderlust” event scheduled for today. So, if you’ve been wanting to buy a Mini iPhone, now might be your last chance.
For those wondering, the new iPhone 15 series that Apple will unveil today will come with the 6.1-inch iPhone 15, 6.7-inch 15 Plus, 6.1-inch 15 Pro, and 6.7-inch 15 Pro Max. We’ll be providing in-depth coverage of today’s event, so stay tuned.
