The future of foldable phones is not necessarily rosy, but in 2023 these phones were doing well and both manufacturers and customers seem to be getting used to them. The softer half of the population like clamshell phones, this design is coming back in a new form after years and I have to admit it looks good.
It is no wonder that this area is attracting more and more manufacturers. It’s not just about the prestige of making a beautiful folding phone, these devices are still significantly more expensive than regular phones, are a welcome source of income for producers. I expect that in 2024 the offer of folding phones will be a little better again, with another manufacturer looking for them.
This is Meizu, a rather lesser-known company in our country, but it has a number of high-quality mobile phones on offer, and I certainly wouldn’t mind if the manufacturer tried to come up with something new. On the other hand, I’m not sure if it’s not a little late for the first prototypesother manufacturers have been investing in this direction for a long time and already have several generations of folding phones on the market.
On the other hand, we must add that the first generation of flip phones were nothing like that, the compromises in construction were great. Today, however, we have the technology to make top-notch flexible phones that will last you a long time.
But if I look at the Meizu 21, then I would also like to try a jigsaw from this manufacturer. Perfect size phone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor in four color variants I liked it, I won’t hide it. If the manufacturer took a similarly unconventional approach to the world of folding phones, customers would certainly not mind. The leader in this area is Samsung so far, but the OnePlus Open has ranked at the very top and Xiaomi will not want to stand aside…
