It’s during the Summer Game FestVGC interviewIn, Sonic boss Takashi Iizuka opens up about the future of classic game series Night and Burning Ranger. With the recent announcement that Samba de Amigo has been raised from the grave, it’s hard not to wonder about the company’s other ancient, slightly forgotten brands – Iizuka has the following answer to that question:

“I can’t say yes to anything right now. I’m the creative officer for Sonic the Hedgehog these days, so I’m totally focused on that side of the business. So I can’t really speak for anyone else, but the Sonic team in Japan recently Adding and hiring a lot of people all the time – there are more of them than ever. So you might hear these kinds of titles in the future.
