A month after Mazda unveiled its plan to expand the family of SUVs, the future CX-60 appeared on a road in Japan.
Two copies of the future CX-60 were captured in all their splendor on a road in Ehime Prefecture (southwestern Japan) during filming of a commercial.
Expected to debut on the European market next year, the Japanese SUV is visibly bigger than model CX-5 (see photo gallery), but does not display a design language very different from his younger brother. From the images published online by the CSK Review Channel you can see the headlights that are connected to the huge front grille just like the CX-5, the shield-shaped grille specific to Mazda models is this square more square.
There are also large vertical cuts in the bumper reminiscent of BMW “Luxury Line” models. The video does not show the rear of the SUV, but it is expected that it will not deviate too much from the design lines on the other models in the Mazda range.

It is known that in the next two years, the model portfolio of the Japanese manufacturer will undergo some important changes in the markets of Europe, Japan and the USA, where five new SUVs will be launched. The first has already been revealed by Mazda, namely CX-50.
The next four – CX-60, CX-70, CX-80 and CX-90 – will use the new technical platform of the Japanese manufacturer that offers rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. All future models will be built in the same factory in Japan.
Also in 2022, Mazda will launch a new generation of Skyactiv-X and Skyactiv-D engines, which will have six cylinders in line and will come with a 48V micro-hybrid propulsion system. The CX-60 and CX-80 SUVs will receive a little later as well versiuni plug-in hybrid.
