The future Saint-Ouen Grand Paris Nord hospital will open in 2028 in the heart of Saint-Ouen. This new establishment will merge the services of the Bichat-Claude-Bernard hospital, located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, and the Beaujon hospital, currently in Clichy. More than 1,200 places and beds are planned, a number that will exceed 1,300 in times of tension (pandemic, winter flu, etc.). Three additional 90-bed units were added last October, following the health crisis.
Fewer beds, more outpatients
A new step was taken at the beginning of March with the choice, for the construction, of the Renzo Piano consortium. “We chose this project in particular for the flexibility it offers,” says Jean-Baptiste Hagenmüller, project director at AP-HP.
