AGRICULTURE / A call for mobilization is launched by the FDSEA 05 and the JA05 this Friday morning, at 9:30 a.m., in front of the Hautes-Alpes prefecture

The future drought action plan is already being debated among high alpine farmers. Currently under review and in the process of being finalised, this decree governs the water restrictions concerning domestic, industrial and agricultural uses for the next three years. A drought plan with serious consequences according to the FDSEA 05 and the JA05 by pointing the finger at a “rapid triggering of alert thresholds, slower lifting of restrictions and removal of farmers from drought committees”. Measures judged “approximate, ill-founded and not adapted to mountain agriculture” for the two main agricultural unions in the high Alps. To make their dissatisfaction heard, a call for mobilization is launched this Friday morning, at 9:30 a.m., in front of the Hautes-Alpes prefecture with “tractors, tippers and gifts”.
