As the footage shows, after entering to applause, Jill Biden walked up to Doug Emhoff, husband of Kamala Harris, and shook his hand. Then happened just after the controversial and now viral moment: they certainly exchange a kiss, but was it on the mouth or right next to it, wondered Internet users in disbelief.
A kiss that gets the media talking
“The smooch of the Union”, quipped the conservative tabloid New York Post, for whom there is no doubt that the two kissed “on the lips”. Same story at Fox News, which published the video with the following caption: “Jill Biden and Douglas Emhoff kiss on the lips”.
Kellyanne Conway, former adviser to Donald Trump, took the opportunity to tackle the opposing camp on the pandemic. “Wow, the Covid, it’s really over”, she tweeted by sharing a photo of the kiss.
