Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin is brought to Windsor Castle after a state funeral at Westminster Abbey. The subsequent procession, or the farewell service, took place at the Chapel of St. George. The commit service starts at 4:00 pm local time. This second service will be more intimate with Dean Windsor delivering the offer. Prayers will be offered by Rector Sandringham, Minister Crathie Kirk and the Reverend of the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor Great Park.
As the commissioning service draws to a close, Queen Elizabeth II’s coffin will be lowered into the Royal Vault located beneath St. George’s Cathedral. This moment is when Dean Windsor reads Psalm 103.
