It will be celebrated within the church of the Artists of Piazza del Popolo in Rome the funeral of Gigi Proietti. The funeral ceremony will be held Thursday 5 November 2020 and the day before, Wednesday 4 November, the funeral chamber will probably be set up in the Campidoglio. It is not clear, however, if the public will be able to participate in the ceremony and how, given the restrictions already in place to limit the spread of coronavirus infections and the new dpcm that President Conte will sign in the coming hours. It is probable, also to avoid gatherings, that the ceremony can be followed with a live television broadcast on Rai channels and it is possible that the entrances to the church and perhaps also to the square will be limited. But it is not excluded, however, that by choice of the family and for issues related to the coronavirus emergency, the funeral can take place in a totally private form.
