Wadih is George Wassouf’s eldest son by his first wife, Shalimar, with whom he became associated in Paris after her family refused to marry her. He and Mrs. Shalimar appeared together to receive comfort in his son, while repeating, “Rah Wadih.”
The news of the death came after it was announced that Wadih George Wassouf had been transferred to a hospital in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, following a gastric sleeve he had recently suffered.
Wassouf, on his official Facebook page, asked those attending his son Wadih’s funeral not to shoot during the funeral, and said during a video on his page that he didn’t want to hear any shooting so that nothing dangerous would happen, ” so that the wound would not be two wounds.”
George Wassouf appeared in a state of great sadness at his son’s funeral, which was held at St. Nikolaos Church in the Ashrafieh neighborhood of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, today, Sunday, where he was greeted with his song ‘Farewell Day “, which accompanied the transfer of the coffin, and many other songs from the songs of “Sultan Al Tarab”.
Wadih’s brother George Jr. said in his speech at the funeral service that his brother’s death broke all their hearts, noting that Wadih was always concerned that his father was comfortable and that he lived his life. life for his father.
And George Wassouf had given his condolences last night, Saturday, and his friends from the arts community, Walid Tawfiq, Najwa Karam, Marwan Khoury, Nancy Ajram, Wael Jassar, Ziad Burji, Haifa Wehbe and Assi Al-Hillani attended.

Nishan added that the cause of death was very severe bleeding, as he was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago on December 27, and underwent surgery on the same day, but complications occurred two days ago.
