The fuel discount can be 75 cents. Economist Georgi Angelov expressed this opinion to NOVA.
He explained that our country now receives cheap Russian oil, but through a Swiss company that offers it at a higher price.
“The question is how, by the time the Russian tanker arrived in Bulgaria, should it be taxed,” Angelov said. This tax is an excess profit for the country, thanks to which the measure of 25 cents per liter of fuel can be increased to 75 cents, the economist explained.
However, according to Kaloyan Staykov of the Institute of Market Economy, the goal is to reduce the very price at which it is sold, not to increase aid.
Angelov proposes to write the decision to enter the law – Within 30 days the prices should be reduced. If this does not happen, the exemption should be prohibited.
