New Delhi: A woman was allegedly murdered by her male friend in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Giving information about the incident on Sunday, March 31, the police said that the man was unhappy with the nature of his job. This incident took place on Saturday 30 March at Shalini Maidan in Jayanagar, Bengaluru. Police have identified the deceased as Farida Khanum (42) of Kolkata, who lived in a lodge. Police officials said that they have arrested a person named Girish (32) on charges of murder.

Police said that Farida worked in a ‘spa’ and Girish was an employee of a private company. Officials said that both were friends. He told that Girish was unhappy with the nature of Farida’s work and used to pressure her to leave the job, which led to fights between them.

Girish had attacked Farida with a knife
Officials said that on Saturday, Girish attacked Farida with a knife over this issue. When some people saw Farida in a pool of blood, they took her to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Officials said it appeared to be a case of premeditated murder as the accused was carrying a knife. He said that the matter is being investigated.
