The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs updates the map of Morocco while preserving its entire territory

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the French Republic recently revised and updated the official map of the Kingdom of Morocco, thus including its entire territory, including the Sahara region. This initiative reflects clear support for the national cause, driven by His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

The updated map was made public on the site official from the Quai d’Orsay, last Tuesday. This gesture is a continuation of a correspondence sent by the French President, Emmanuel Macron, to the Sovereign. In this letter, the French head of state affirmed that “the present and future of “Western” Sahara must be considered within the framework of Moroccan sovereignty”. These remarks were reaffirmed during recent bilateral discussions between King Mohammed VI and Emmanuel Macron, which were held on Monday in Rabat.

This approach is part of a clear desire to operationalize France’s new position on the Sahara issue. It also testifies to the positive dynamic surrounding this issue on the international scene.
