To mark the national holiday of France, the day of the conquest of Bastille, on 14 July, the “International French Film Festival” takes place around the world, with the latest French films being screened in more than 30 countries. The aim of the festival is to celebrate the return of cinema to the big screens, which this year symbolically coincides with the time of the Cannes Film Festival. Latvia is also participating in this festival with the premieres of two new films made in France, which will be shown at the Splendid Palace cinema on July 14 and 15, the cinema representatives informed.
The premiere of the film “Les parfumes” is expected on July 14 at 19.00 and on July 15 at 20.00. A story about friendship, work and life, saturated with exquisite perfume aromas – the film tells the story of Anna, who creates various aromas and sells her incredible talent. Anna’s work is her passion and the meaning of life. However, as is often the case, such creative people, who are so passionate about their work and talented in their field, do not always have a good and pleasant character. Anna once hires a driver who completely changes her life. A simple driver becomes her assistant and shows that life is not just about work, even if it is so dear.
