On the occasion of the death of Kansas-born editor Arthur Howitzer Jr. AA On the occasion of the death of Kansas-born editor Arthur Howitzer Jr., the editorial staff of the French Edition gathers to write an obituary. Four stories come to life from the memories connected to Howitzer: “Snapshot of a city”, article by Herbsaint Sazerac, the cycling reporter; “A betonremek”, about a psychopathic criminal painter and the woman who guards him, who is also his muse, as well as pushy art dealers; “Amendments to a Manifesto”, a chronicle of love and death in the shadow of the barricades at the height of a student revolt; and “The Chief’s Private Dining Room,” a suspenseful tale of drugs, child abduction and the art of eating. Through the stories, all the famous journalists of the paper add their part to commemorate their beloved editor in a dignified way, as well as raise their hats to the varied and diverse world of journalism.
