Van driver Didin, 60, said the accident started as he was driving down the slope of Mandalare towards Panjalu.
From the opposite direction, an Avanza-type car appeared at high speed.
Due to the narrow road location and fear of a collision, Didin swerved left until he fell into a ditch.
“Afraid of the collision, I swerved to the left but instead entered the ditch, the front and rear wheels collapsed into the ditch,” Didin said.
Didin said, difficulties in evacuating his car from the ditch.
He admitted that he would provide drinking water in the Rajadesa area.
“Obviously it’s too late, because the car can only be evacuated at 12:30 WIB,” he said.
As a result of the accident, traffic on the Mandalare-Panjalu route and vice versa was halted.
