The Foxtrot Network: A Wave of Violence and Kidnapping Across Scandinavia

In March, the son of a Norwegian artist was kidnapped. The artist was pressured for money, and threatened that his son would be killed if he did not pay a ransom.

That was written by the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.

At the same time, the newspaper learned that the notorious Foxtrot network was behind the kidnapping.

The criminal gang is behind a bloody wave of violence that has ravaged Sweden recently.

– The development is very worrying

Now the police confirm to NRK that it was probably the Foxtrot network that kidnapped the artist’s son. It was Address newspaper who mentioned the matter first.

– The police believe that the deprivation of liberty and extortion case from May in Trondheim is connected to the Foxtrot network in Sweden, says police attorney in Trøndelag police district, Bente Bøklepp to NRK.

On the night of Thursday, another explosion went off in Sweden which is connected to the criminal Foxtrot network.

According to her, the police have now charged 12 people in the case.

– The fact that we believe the case can be connected to the Foxtrot network comes from information that has emerged in the investigation. We cannot give details now, this information will come out in court. The development is very worrying for society and this threat must be taken seriously, says Bøklepp.

There have been 12 murders in and around Stockholm in the past month. Although much is uncertain, the police link several of them to the ongoing gang war in Sweden.

In Uppsala, north of Stockholm, a woman in her 60s is killed on 6 September. She was the mother of a gang member.

Six days later, a 23-year-old man is shot dead in the same area.

On 28 September, a woman in her mid-20s dies after a powerful explosion in a housing estate in Fullerö.

On 21 September, a man in his 20s and a man in his 70s are shot and killed in a bar in Sandviken. Two others are injured.

In Stockholm, there are four murders in five days in mid-September: A teenage boy, two men in their 20s and a 39-year-old man die.

On 27 September, a well-known male rapper in his late teens is also killed on Mälarhøgden in the south of the city.

In Haninge, south of Stockholm, a 13-year-old boy is found shot dead on 11 September.

On 27 September, two people are shot in the neighboring village of Jordbro. One of them dies from his injuries.

Operates in Norway

Earlier this week, Kripos confirmed for the first time to NRK that they know that the Foxtrot network operates in Norway.

– Yes, there are registered criminal activities in Norway that we can trace back to the Foxtrot network, says Trond Bruen Olsen in Kripos to NRK.

The head of the organized crime section confirms that Swedish criminal networks have been active all over the country.

– In the past year, the activity of Swedish gang criminals on Norwegian soil has been more visible. Both in that they are established in different parts of the country and that they become involved in violent missions in Norway, says Olsen.

URIX September 27: Rawa Majid, called the Kurdish fox, is one of Sweden’s most wanted gang leaders. His network is connected to several murders and explosions in Sweden recently. Who is he and how does he work?

Kripos will not go into detail about the scope of the Foxtrot network’s activities or recruitment in Norway.

– As of today, we have good control over the situation and the criminal networks that operate in Norway. But in order to maintain control, this requires that the Norwegian authorities work continuously to prevent and investigate crime, he says.
