The fourth flight with Cubans deported to the island leaves the US

A new flight with Cubans deported to the Island left the United States on the morning of this Thursday, July 20, this being the fourth to be organized since they resumed in April of this year.

The middle Telemundo 51 confirmed the information, sharing images that showed the West Indians boarding the plane while being watched by agents of the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

This flight, of which the exact number of deported Cubans is still unknown, left from the Miami International Airport bound for the “José Martí” International Airport in Havana.

While there is no official confirmation of the number of West Indians deported, the number of relatives who went to the airport to see their loved ones leave suggests that there were at least a dozen people who had deportation orders against them.

The aforementioned medium mentioned that there were wives, mothers, sisters and friends who could not do more than observe from behind a fence how these people were brought onto a plane with the windows closed.

Among the deported passengers, Sergio Pérez was identified, a father whose son has been left alone in the US, since his mother was on the Island. The outlet indicates that the minor has an aunt left in Miami, however, his future is uncertain, since she does not have legal custody of the minor.

The group of deported Cubans had been detained in the ICE centers after they went to a routine appointment with their I-220 b form. After several days, they were released, although the authorities put electronic shackles on them.

Recently, it was learned that several members of this group had been detained again by ICE, which concerned family members due to the possibility that another deportation flight was being organized.

Flights have been suspended since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, being resumed this year by the Joe Biden administration. In total, 225 citizens have been returned to the Greater Antilles.

The flight with the largest number of passengers was the first, which brought back 123 Cubanswhile the second and third flights carried 66 and 36 passengers, respectively.
