The four good reasons to follow LOSC – Angers SCO

The LOSC will play this Saturday 06 November its 13th day of Ligue 1 against the SCO of Angers. A victory already capital for Lille which would propel them from 12th to 7th place. But Angers must also win to assert its place in the first half of the table.

LOSC sorely needs this victory. Currently in 12th place with 15 points, the Lille have a rather disappointing start to the season. However, with the victory against Sevilla (1-2) in the Champions League, the Mastiffs are more confident than ever. For its part, Angers (8th, 17 pts) made a good start to the championship despite a loss on a goal conceded in the 91st minute against OGC Nice. A meeting to follow live on Amazon Prime Video.

Lille in success from Pierre Mauroy

Despite a mixed start to the season, with disappointing results, especially during the reception of Brest (1-1) and the trip to Clermont (1-0), Jocelyn Gourvennec’s men are rather successful at home. Unbeaten in their last four games at the Pierre Mauroy stadium, the results are positive for LOSC. Three wins and one draw, with Jonathan David scoring in each of these matches. The latter is currently the man in form of this team and more than ever today with his goal against Sevilla this Tuesday in the Champions League, the eighth in the last nine meetings. However, Lille will have to be wary of a very comfortable Angevin team outside its stadium. Indeed, the Angers SCO occupies the 5th position in the classification of away matches. A meeting which therefore promises intensity for the two clubs in search of points in order to move up the rankings for Lille and to assert themselves for Angers.

Lille players in confidence

With a good match and a victory at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán stadium in Sevilla in the Champions League, the Lille group has been full of confidence to face the Angevin players. Despite the defeat against Paris Saint-Germain (2-1), some positive signals were seen. Jocelyn Gourvennec and his players are starting to find their marks in the Breton coach’s 4-4-2 and the intensity has also gone up a notch. Occupying second place in their group in the Champions League, the Mastiffs must now focus on the championship. Currently in 12th place, José Fonte’s teammates absolutely have to move up the standings to be still present in the race for Europe. Every point counts, every match must be taken seriously, as the Lille players know, crowned champions against Angers last year on the last day of the championship.

The duel to follow

Sofiane Boufal VS Jonathan David

Very comfortable technically, Sofiane Boufal is able to make the difference in a few seconds. He is a real poison for the defenses and is the author of 3 goals as well as 2 assists in this start of Ligue 1 Uber Eats. In front of him stands the top scorer in Ligue 1 Uber Eats and fit man from LOSC. Jonathan David had a perfect start to the season, scoring 8 goals in 12 league games. Skillful in front of goal, he also knows how to use his other qualities for his team. His speed allows him to catch the opposing defense by surprise, but also his technical quality as he was able to show on his goal against Brest. The presence of these two players on the field promises a very interesting game on all levels, with a game pushed forward.

The Lille group: Grbic, Jakubech – Celik, Pied, Gudmundsson, Reinildo, Dabila, Fonte, Djalo – André, Xeka, Onana, Sanches – Yazici, Weah, Gomes, Bamba, Yilmaz, David, Ikoné, Lihadji

The Angevin group: Petković, Mandrea – Doumbia, Manceau, Ebosse, Thomas, Traoré – Cabot, Mendy, Ounahi, Perreira Lage, Bobichon, Mangani – Brahimi, Fulgini, Boufal, Capelle, El Melani, Bahoken, Cho

Defense concerns

The Lille coach will have to compose his team with some uncertainties, especially that of Tiago Djalo. Sven Botman’s selection injury gives rise to a central hinge made up of José Fonte and Tiago Djalo. However, the latter experienced discomfort at the ischio this week. Despite his presence in the squad and an uncomplicated training session this Friday, the uncertainty remains total until tomorrow at 7 p.m. Yves Dabila, even Xeka and Amadou Onana will have to be ready in the event of a last minute package.
