The FIA World Council has given its OK to the Formula 1 calendar, which although it will be subject to the evolution of the pandemic, expects to have 23 grand prizes, being the longest in history.
On the list there are two races that are still marked with an asterisk: the Spanish GP, at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, pending the signing of the contract, and another scheduled for April 25 at a circuit yet to be designated after the e with a circuit to be assigned after the fall of the Vietnam GP following the arrest of one of its promoters.
Among the circuits that are nominated to replace Vietman are Portimao and Istanbul Park, which have already been part of the 2020 season calendar so conditioned by Covid-19.
Another circuit that stands out is Interlagos, which maintains the headquarters of the Brazilian GP and forces Rio de Janeiro to continue waiting after renewing with F1 for five years, with a change of name: Now it will be called the Sao Paulo GP.
Australia wants to start with spectators in the stands, while Abu Dhabi will close the season again.
