Ahmed Hassan Makki, the new coach of the Saudi Ohod Club, revealed the details of his joining the technical staff of the Ohod Club, which plays in the Saudi First Division League (Yellow League), and the behind-the-scenes of his departure from the Smouha Club.
Makki said, during a phone call on the “Match” program, broadcast on “Sada El Balad” channel, today, Wednesday, that he is very happy with this experience, hoping that it will be a good experience this season.
He explained that football in Saudi Arabia has developed significantly in terms of deals, player performance and club strength, and everyone knows that the situation now in the Saudi League is different from previous seasons.
He continued: “I did not communicate with the Croatian technical director, Velibor Kovonovic, but I communicated with the club president and sat down yesterday and we agreed on everything. Next week I will be there and there will be a sitting between me and the technical director and I will go to training with the team.”
Regarding his departure from the position of general coach at Smouha Club, he added that he played at Smouha Club for 5 years, and he will return again, adding: “Smouha is my home and in the first and last I am the son of the club.”
Regarding the reasons for his departure, he added that he felt a kind of marginalization from his role in the technical staff during the last period, and he did not speak with Captain Ahmed Sami, the team’s coach, about this issue and the reasons for his departure.
