The new album was presented on November 20 on the band’s Youtube channel. The album features ten Latvian riflemen and folk songs arranged by heavy music.

“We want to honor Latvian riflemen as an example of Latvian excellence – to sing and play their songs in their characteristic rock style, to remember the visual form of that time and to be together – happy, healthy and proud of Latvia,” commented the new record.

The band “Urbix” was formed in 2015, uniting music-hungry friends. Former members of “Huskvarn” from various ensembles in the 25-year history of the group received an offer to create a heavy version of the folk ensemble “Wolves” for the upcoming album “Cīņai sveiks!”

During its existence, the group has amplified several events of the Lāčplēsis Day at the Latvian Riflemen’s Square, participated in the Barricade Remembrance Day in Branka and in the event dedicated to the centenary of Bermontiad in Jelgava. Currently the band consists of: Normunds Štefenhagens Urbix (vocals), Agris Siksna (guitars), Artis Apinis (guitars), Edžus Korsaks (bass guitar), Egīls Krūmiņš (accordion, keyboards) and Juris Šenbergs (drums).
