The neo-baroque building in Děčín from 1902 is a reminder of the Austro-Hungarian model, when financial institutions invested in the development of villages and towns. Money went out of savings banks to build schools, hospitals or cultivate greenery. Now the historic building, which also housed the employment office, is going up for auction. It has a giant safe and a starting price of 7.5 million crowns, which is twice less than the real value of the house.
