Himself Ghani fled the country on August 15thwhen the Taliban captured the capital Kabul.
“I deeply regret that my own chapter in Afghan history ended in a tragedy similar to that of my predecessors, without ensuring stability and prosperity for Afghanistan. I apologize to the Afghan people for failing to do things differently.“, pointed out the former head of state.
