The application for Piotr Pogonowski was punished, held and introduced by Joanna Kluzik-Rostkowska. Seven people voted for the motion, one vote was against and no one abstained.
– I would like to ask you to prepare an application to the District Court in Warsaw to impose a financial penalty for not appearing today and to detain and bring the witness Piotr Pogonowski to the hearing – said the chairman of the commission, Magdalena Sroka, after the vote.
Such a situation was announced by committee member Tomasz Trela in an interview with Onet.
Who is Piotr Pogonowski?
Piotr Pogonowski is the deputy head of the Internal Security Agency from 2016 to 2020 (he was the head in 2015-2016); he resigned “for personal reasons”. Since 2020, he has been a member of the management board of the National Bank of Poland, where he managed the following departments: administration, security and control.
Before that, in the years 2008–2010, Pogonowski was the director of the office of the head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau, Mariusz Kamiński. In the 2011 parliamentary elections, he ran unsuccessfully for a parliamentary seat on the PiS list in the Lublin region.
