Since the US company Liberty Media took over the F-1 series in 2017, it has been headed by Chase Kerry, who will continue to work in Formula One, but without executive powers.

Domenical took over the leadership of the Ferrari team at the end of 2007. The unit was previously headed by the current International Automobile Federation (SON) the host Jean Todd.

A year later, Ferrari won the Constructor’s Cup, but it was also the last time the title was won. Domenikali lost his job in the Ferrari team after the unit’s then president, Lucca di Montezemolo, wanted to fire the head of the engine department.

Domenikali later joined Audi’s vehicle manufacturers and was soon appointed CEO of Lamborghini, part of the VW Audi group.
