«The former court of Salerno remains the home of lawyers»

Not a cry of alarm but a call – strong – for one of the buildings to be a symbol of Salerno continue to have that vocation acquired a century ago, in 1930. It is in this vein that yesterday the president ofBar Association of Salerno, Gaetano Paolinowanted to once again shine the spotlight onformer court Of Corso Vittorio Emanuelewhich has returned to the limelight in recent weeks following the announcement by the Campania region of an acquisition of the property – through the “disputed” Cohesion and Development Funds – fromState Property Agencyin the wake of that initiative unveiled more than a year ago which provides for an exchange between the parties (with the involvement also of theRuggi Company and of Municipality of Salerno) which will allow the State Property Office to take possession of the area Torre Angellara where the orthopedic hospital was located to create a “pole” in which to locate all the state offices.

Points to clarify

Yet there are still some points to be clarified about this exchange which, at the moment, does not leave the Salerno lawyers at peace, which still has its beating heart in the old Corso court, not only due to the presence of the offices ofUnep and of Justice of the Peace but, above all, for the spaces on the third floor of the building historically in use Advise of the Bar Association, such as the library (recently renovated with its own funds), the rooms used by Disciplinary Board and, above all, theParrilli Classroom. «We care that the former courthouse remains our home and we are certain that the reassurances received from politicians will be maintained in the event of the exchange», highlights President Paolino after sending the note which sounds like a strong reminder from the Salerno lawyers on this situation.
