Former Chelsea player, Jose Poyet, has urged the London club to sign the Barcelona player Pierre Emeric Aubameyang In the current summer transfer season.
Chelsea had allowed the departure of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner, to Inter Milan and Leipzig, respectively, while doubts swirled about the future of the duo Hakim Ziyech and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
And press reports said in the past few days that Chelsea had a desire to sign Aubameyang from Barcelonaan idea supported by Joss Poyet.
“Without a doubt,” Poet said, in comments published by the English newspaper “The Independent”, when asked if signing with Al-Gabouni would be a good move.
He added: “Aubameyang would be perfect, he looks happy and is back to his best goal scorer.”
He continued, “I don’t know why he’s trying Chelsea Barcelona this summer is constantly signing the same players and stealing from each other, they are not the same clubs, but they are trying to buy the exact same players.”
He continued: “I can’t see Aubameyang’s signing happening, but I would be happy and amazed if it did.”
And he continued: “Chelsea still needs to settle the situation of the striker now that Lukaku is gone, Raheem Sterling will not be their outright striker.”
“It makes sense for Chelsea to look for another centre-back, but £85m? It’s hard to say because the market is crazy when you want certain players.”
“To spend that much money, a player needs to play week after week for the next four or five years like Virgil van Dijk.”
