The former Arsenal boss says Dortmund could have now had the Haaland-Mbappé duo

The former chief scout for Arsenal, Sven Mislintat, has revealed that Kylian Mbappé and Erling Haaland could be playing together at Borussia Dortmund.

Mislintat explained to Kicker magazine that Borussia Dortmund came very close to signing Kylian Mbappé at zero cost when he played for Monaco. The young striker made his debut with the French team at the age of 16.

It was a real shame that we couldn’t sign Kylian, “explained Sven Mislintat about the luxury forward Borussia Dortmund could have this season.

“Kylian Mbappé was available for free at one point and there were a lot of suitors. But we had no chance of winning that race, “Mislintat added about Mbappé, who later headed to the Parc des Princes. (Exclusive: Karim Benzema thinks he would understand better with Mbappé than with Haaland)

“If you had been able to get Mbappe out of Monaco for free at that time, of course it would have been a great deal,” he said of the French striker.

The young French forward ended up signing for Paris Saint Germain in 2017. Real Madrid also tried to sign him but Mbappé chose to stay in his country.

THE DREAM OF MIDDLE EUROPE

Borussia Dortmund could be fulfilling the dream of half Europe since they would have the Mbappé-Haaland duo at a minimum price.

Mbappé would have joined the German team at zero cost While the Norwegian forward signed in January 2020 for 20 million euros.

Borussia Dortmund would be, today, the team in Europe with the best forward since Haaland and Mbappé are two of the best players of the moment.

REAL MADRID WANTS HAALAND AND MBAPPÉ

Real Madrid is very interested in signing Haaland and Mbappé although, in no case, will it cost them for the price mentioned above.

Both footballers have a market value of more than 100 million euros so Real Madrid will have to make a significant outlay if it wants to sign one or both attackers.
