In an interview via “Spot Shot”, within the “Point of View” program, Al-Barjawi said: “Major General Abbas Ibrahim visited Syria and met with President Bashar al-Assad, and the content of the visit was that Major General Ibrahim will continue his work at the national level.”
He continued, “He will also open an office in Lebanon to deal with political affairs, and there is information that he will form a party, but my advice to him is that political work generates problems, so it is recommended that he continue working at the national level.”
Regarding the issue of the presidency, Al-Barajawi commented: “We do not have the luxury of time. We have to elect a president who is able to build good relations with Syria, because there is an international decision to keep the Syrian refugees in Lebanon, so the head of the Marada Movement, Suleiman Franjieh, is the most appropriate figure.”
