Positive sounds
Today there are cautiously positive voices about the formation of a right-wing cabinet, as is also evident from the reactions of the negotiating parties. “I am very positive about it,” said BBB faction leader Caroline van der Plas after a conversation with the informant. She looks back on a ‘good conversation because we are really talking about how we are going to get to the end of this information period’.

Behavior Omtzigt
In recent weeks, the formation seemed to be going smoothly, especially because of the stories surrounding the position of NSC leader Pieter Omtzigt in the negotiations. Behind the scenes there were complaints about the emotional and erratic behavior of the NSC leader.
No breakthrough yet
It is still too early to talk about a breakthrough, but in various parties the sounds are becoming slightly more positive. “That does not mean that there will be a cabinet soon, but it does mean that the four right-wing parties can agree on the form of cooperation,” says political reporter Fons Lambie. “One must agree on the form, definition and basis. Will it be a tolerating cabinet or extra-parliamentary cabinet, for example? Last week there were complaints behind the scenes about the emotional and volatile Omtzigt, but at the same time: everyone adheres to the content and form the radio silence. These are careful steps, it remains fragile.”
