The Forézienne group structures its training offer in Epercieux-Saint-Paul

We already had a very long-standing training activity, but we structured it, at the request of our customers“, confides Romain Garnier, industrial manager and training manager for the group Forezienne, headquartered in Épercieux-Saint-Paul.

For the group, which has four sites in France, a subsidiary in Germany, one in Switzerland and one in Spain, this project makes it possible to train customers in the use of their cutting tools, ribbons and blades, as well as in maintaining them. , so as to be autonomous, via seven standard courses, according to their levels.

In 2021, between 15 and 20 people have had 14 to 70 hours of training, fundable by the OPCO, since the ForezienneAcademy is now a certified training organization Qualiopi.

We are in a niche market, it is rare to recruit staff with sharpening skills”, says Romain Garnier. A major problem at a time when the group created in 1977 by Christian Sénégas, recruits between 10 and 15 people per year and now has 310 employees.

The group has 4,000 customers worldwide and is showing growth of around 23% in 2021 for a turnover of €42.8 million with Forézienne MFLS, which designs, manufactures and distributes cutting tools, but also Forézienne distribution and Forézienne tecnologie which provides solutions for the design and integration of sharpening materials and equipment.

Investments
Winner of the Plan France Relance, the group integrated part of a manufacturing process for circular blades in 2021, expanding by 1,200 m2 of its Loire site, for an investment of 1,5 M€, including €650,000 from the stimulus package.
The website of Tonneins in the South-West will also be extended by 1,200 m2, with in both cases, recruitments in the key.
