– I think that if I had not gone out in the media, nothing would have happened, says Hilde Lengali to Dagbladet.
On March 18, she announced two episodes with Minister of Defense Odd Roger Enoksen (Sp) from 2000 and 2001. At that time he was leader of the Center Party, and Lengali was deputy leader of the Nordland Center Party. She is now out of politics after a period in the MDGs.
Now Lengali is reacting to the fact that nothing more has happened since she delivered the notice to the party office. She has also not heard anything from the rest of the party since.
– I feel that I have been vulnerable and that I do not receive any support. That they do not ask how I am doing and are not concerned about it, says Lengali.
Went a long time
She says that she notified Oral Secretary General Knut M. Olsen orally and in writing on 18 March. He called her after three days and suggested a meeting between her and the defense minister she notified. So, after three new days later, she received a new message from him.
It said that the Minister of Defense was trying to get a meeting with her in one week.
“Will return in more detail to whether it goes and how for the week,” wrote Secretary General Olsen on March 24. Dagbladet has seen these messages.
Since then she has not heard anything more.
– The problem is that there is no follow-up between there, it was decisive that I let myself be interviewed in the media. When it gets quiet after such a warning, I go and wait for some kind of response and get none. It is as if it does not matter, says Lengali.
Sp leader Trygve Slagsvold Vedum said in the Debate on NRK on Tuesday night that he has confidence in Odd Roger Enoksen as Minister of Defense.
Stirred Putin notes revealed
Quiet from the party
She contacted her again the following week, March 30. She wrote that she had done interviews with several media and that the time Olsen had suggested did not fit.
She believes the process has been too slow. From the rest of the party, she has not received any response after going out in the media, she says.
– Waiting for such a meeting was demanding, and I became more uncertain whether I would meet the person I notified or not, says Lengali.
Dagbladet has asked the Center Party to comment on whether the response has been quick enough and whether the warning system works well. Secretary General Knut M. Olsen responds in an SMS:
“The notice has been processed in accordance with our ethical guidelines. We never comment on notification matters, as all information must be treated confidentially by us so that the threshold for notification does not become higher. “
Warns of Andøya comeback
To episoder
The warning against Minister of Defense Enoksen was first mentioned by NRK and TV 2. It is about two episodes from 2000 and 2001 in Bodø and on Hell.
According to Lengali, the then party leader in 2000 invited her to a hotel room to discuss her political future, and then pushed her down on the bed. Enoksen has told NRK that he does not remember this incident.
In 2001, Enoksen went into the dressing room where Lengali showered, after they had been in the sauna together. He is said to have stood between her and her towel, stretched out his arms and commented that she looked like a “movie star”.
Enoksen has explained that he saw that the wardrobe door was open and thought she was done and ready, but he has regretted the way he formulated himself in this episode.
Worried about whistleblowers
Lengali is generally concerned about how whistleblowers are received by society.
She points out that there is no warning ombudsman for those who are out of work.
– They have nowhere to turn, she says.
