The weather during the first ten days of August
During the first ten days, temperatures are expected to be 3-4 degrees above the climatic norm. We will also observe tropical nights, with temperatures in the morning between 12-20 degrees Celsius.
Sunny and hot weather will prevail over the country, but until noon. During the period August 5-9 in the afternoons, rain and thunder are expected over Western Bulgaria and the Danube plain. It will remain dry in Eastern Bulgaria. Temperatures in the country will be between 35-40°C.
The weather in the second ten days of August
In the first days of the second ten-day period, the weather will be mostly sunny, and in the afternoons – with high clouds. Temperatures will be around the norm for August and will be between 31-34°C. It will be windy over the Danube plain. On August 12-15, we expect the passage of a cold atmospheric front, which will also lower temperatures. We also expect showers and thunderstorms. After the short-term cooling, by the end of the second ten-day period, temperatures will rise, but in the afternoon the probability of precipitation is higher.
The weather during the third ten days of August
According to the data of the climate models, the probability of the passage of cold fronts is much greater in this period. In the first days of the third ten-day period, the weather will be sunny. As of August 20-25, we expect a permanent drop in temperatures towards the end of the period, predicts “Meteo Balkans”.
