In the football arena named after I.Ya. Mosyakin, 300 schoolchildren – participants in the Football at School project – played with the legends of the Russian national team Evgeny Aldonin, Ruslan Pimenov, Igor Semshov, Dmitry Sennikov and blogger ArtPo.
The Football Lesson festival took place on November 3 for children from 17 schools in the region. The participants were able to play in a gala match with RFU ambassadors and FC Orel football players and communicate with them, after which the ex-team players held an autograph session and took photos with the children.
Participants and guests of the festival were greeted by the Governor of the Oryol region Andrey Klychkov and the head of the “Football at School” project Tatyana Bukurova.

– Now a new round has begun in the life of Oryol football, which has a long history. Many of you who came to this stadium also saw new victories. Together with the Russian Football Union, we are holding a wonderful festival, the main goal of which is to bring football to schools. Today’s famous guests will become an example for you.
An educational seminar for 25 physical education teachers in the Oryol region before the festival was conducted by the methodologists of the “Football at School” project Dmitry Barannik and Evgeny Semyonov. An employee of the RFU women’s football department, Angelina Kaftanik, spoke about the involvement of girls in football. Theoretical and practical lessons at the seminar were accompanied by interactive exercises.

– I think that “Football at School” is a really very important project. It unites both children and adults. At the seminar today, for the first time in a long time, I received a lot of positivity from playing football and remembered what it was like to enjoy goals and successful moments. I will now conduct lessons with my students taking into account the recommendations that we were given today. I hope that my guys will experience the same charge of positive emotions in our classes.
“Football at school” is a project of the Russian Football Union. Its goal is to involve as many children and teenagers as possible in the most popular sport in the world. Schoolchildren across the country have the opportunity to get involved in football in physical education classes and school football sections, participate in regular Leather Ball School Football League tournaments and festivals.
In the academic year 2024/25, 5,185 educational organizations from 83 regions of Russia are participating in the RFU “Football at School” project. More than 1.8 million schoolchildren, about half of whom are girls, play football in physical education classes and in sections at schools. The Oryol region has been participating in the “Football at School” project since the 2023/24 academic year.
