The Egyptian Premier League clubs have received a notification from the Football Association stating that the Corona swab will return to the teams 48 hours before the Premier League matches and withdrawing the decision to suffice with the Rapid Test analysis that was followed since the start of the competition, after medical confirmations of the safety of the swab results compared to the Rapid Test analysis, and for his part, Mohamed said Mukhtar, Director of Players’ Affairs at Talaia Al-Jaish Club, in exclusive statements to Al-Youm Al-Sabea: “We have received notification from the Football Association to conduct a corona swab and cancel the Rapid Test analysis and we will be the first club to apply the swab before our match with the next Tigris Valley.
The committee in charge of managing the Egyptian Football Association called on the Ministry of Youth and Sports to work towards the inclusion of football teams of all levels, categories and Sunni stages on the schedules of those who will receive the vaccine approved by the Ministry of Health against the Corona virus.
The Egyptian Football Association affirmed its willingness to bear any financial costs in this regard, and its demand for that comes within the framework of ensuring the continuation of football activity in accordance with the rational policy pursued by the Egyptian government.
In its request to do so, the Egyptian Football Association indicated that the experience confirmed, according to certified doctors, that the Rapid Test tests were not as accurate as required, as they gave opposite results in many cases amid the tests that are held in this regard for football teams, which makes continuity. To rely on it is not guaranteed or safe.
The tripartite committee for managing the Football Association informed the clubs of the third and fourth sections of not working “Rabbit Test and PCR” before the league matches, and according to the official letter received by the clubs, wiping work in the two sections will be stopped starting on Sunday, the tenth of January.
The committee also decided to conduct “Rabbit Test and PRC” smears for all referees in all league levels from the Premier League to the fourth division.
