FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR — This weekend, it is South Sulawesi’s turn to become the political destination for presidential candidate (Bacapres) Anies Baswedan and Vice Presidential Candidate Muhaimin Iskandar.
Candidates for the 2024 presidential election from the Change Coalition are scheduled to attend a number of events prepared by coalition parties and volunteers in South Sulawesi.
Coordinator of the Anies Baswedan Exploration of South Sulawesi, Asri Tadda, in his written statement said that Anies carried out the Mappesabbi ceremony at the Luwu Kedatuan Palace in Palopo City, on Saturday morning, September 23 2023.
Mappesabbi is a traditional ceremony in the Luwu Kedatuan where someone who comes pays respects to the host, in this case the Luwu Kedatuan, and asks for blessing to hold a certain celebration.
Anies’ visit to Luwu Raya was quite short. After performing Mappesabbi, Anies will perform Dhuhur prayers at the Palopo Old Jami Mosque.
“Mr Anies will pray midday prayers at the Palopo Old Jami Mosque with the community, volunteers and sympathizers. We will also schedule him to bring a cult if possible,” explained Asri, who is also the Secretary General of Mileanies.
After that, Anies and his entourage will return to Makassar to continue a number of other important agendas in Daeng City.
At 15.00, Anies will inaugurate the AMIN Winning Team Main Post on Jalan Meranti, Makassar City.
Anies will also follow Jalan Gembira which is held on Sunday morning, 24 September 2023 at 06.00 Wita
