Martin Kinc, best known as a poet of the Highlands, has made thousands happy with his poems on Twitter and later with his books. But you won’t get new poems. Kinc died suddenly. His wife gave the news on social networks.
Simple poems about cats and dogs, as well as political satire and love for Vysočina – with all this, Martin Kinc won the hearts of thousands who followed his work on Twitter. There he performed under the pseudonym of a Highland poet, and his work was so popular that it was even published in book form.
However, Kinca’s loyal fans will see no more verses. A sad message, written by his wife Jana, appeared on his Twitter account on Thursday.
“Dear ones, this is the last tweet from the poet’s account. It is with great sadness that I inform you that Martin suddenly passed away today. To those of you who have ordered books, I will try to send them as soon as possible, but I need right now for a while,” he announced.
My dears, this is the last tweet from the poet’s account. It is with great sadness that I report that Martin passed away suddenly today.
To those of you who have ordered books, I will try to send them as soon as possible, but I need some time right now… Thanks for your patience @jana_kinc— Martin Kinc, poet from Vysočina (@Martin_Kinc) November 17, 2022
Hundreds of people expressed their sincere condolences to her. Among them are familiar faces such as MEP Tomáš Zdechovský (KDU-ČSL) and Senate Speaker Miloš Vystrčil (ODS).
Kinc disliked his latest books Třesky plesky and Dubánčí sprymy for a long time. They were released just a few days ago.
On Tuesday, Czechia said goodbye to director Maria Poledňáková, who died last week at the age of 81:
